Energy Specialist

The Energy Specialists will be responsible for outreach and marketing of the Energy Team Program, which is an Income qualified energy conservation program sponsored by SDG&E. The Energy Team program consists of personalized energy conservation education and installation of weatherization measures to households in targeted areas.

REQUIREMENTS

We are searching for individuals who have at least 2 years of work experience, preferably with a sales or door-to-door canvassing background. Successful individuals will be outgoing and enjoy interacting with people from various backgrounds. They must be self motivated and eager to venture into various communities. Applicants must have access to their own vehicle, possess a clear driving record, and must pass pre-employment screening including a drug test and criminal background check.

Description: Creating BlackNLA pages on online social networking sites (myspace/facebook/etc.), and managing those online social networking sites. Researching websites, blogs, and community groups for Peer-to-Peer Marketing Campaigns. Managing online marketing initiatives including contests, promotions, and viral campaigns in relation to the social networking sites, Increasing awareness about BlackNLA utilizing social networks. Posting in forums, social network s and other sites.

Qualifications: Strong drive, self motivated and an excellent work ethic. Great computer skills and a passion for all things internet! Experience on popular websites, such as Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, MySpace and Digg; and/or with mobile applications, such as SMS, mobile web and media, etc. Skilled in online search. Diligent work ethic and insatiable desire to learn. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint; some knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, HTML

This position is hands on and will provide intern with a number of learning and educational experiences for both business to business and consumer marketing.
