The Black Family Wellness Expo comes to Culver City on March 23, 2024, an opportunity for families to engage with health experts, participate in wellness workshops, and access valuable information on a range of health topics. This free event is open to the whole community and takes place at the Culver City Middle School Robert Frost Auditorium, from 10 AM to 2 PM.

This isn’t your ordinary health fair! We’re tackling the most pressing health concerns facing our
community with dynamic workshops and expert insights on:

  • Chronic kidney disease (CKD) awareness
  • Alzheimer’s disease and dementia
  • Heart health
  • Mental health and suicide prevention
  • Vaccination awareness
  • Women’s health
  • Men’s health

A highlight of this year’s expo is a screening of the PBS documentary Saving Moms, addressing the urgent issue of Black maternal health, followed by a panel discussion.

Attendees can expect free health screenings, interactive classes, talks from health experts, and an expo hall with community organizations. The whole family is invited to enjoy raffles, giveaways, lunch, and refreshments.

The Black Family Wellness Expo is a collaboration between the Culver City Unified School
District and eight Southern California chapters of The Links, Incorporated:

  • Angel City (CA) Chapter
  • Beverly Hills West (CA) Chapter
  • Channel Islands (CA) Chapter
  • Harbor Area (CA) Chapter
  • Inglewood Pacific (CA) Chapter
  • Los Angeles (CA) Chapter
  • Orange County (CA) Chapter
  • Palos Verdes (CA) Chapter
