The 2025/ 2026 Glorya Kaufman Presents DANCE at The Music Center Season begins with the West Coast Premiere of five-time Tony® Award-nominated director and choreographer Camille A. Brown’s I AM, performed by Camille A. Brown & Dancers at the Ahmanson Theatre.
Featuring original live music, I AM explores Black joy and launches bold new inquiries into the power of imagination and the shape of the future.
Drawing inspiration from a narrative within HBO’s Lovecraft Country and the pulse of the film Drumline, this 2025 New York Times Critics’ Pick piece pushes boundaries and “takes her signature interweaving of African diasporic dance forms to new heights.”
