Amplify Africa presents the second annual AFRICON 2022 conference! Where conference meets culture- featuring interactive panels, a music festival, our annual Afroball Gala, afterparties with PVO and Afrochella and so much more!

Day 1 – Wednesday, May 25 (AFRICA DAY CELEBRATION) VIP ONLY

Venue: E-CENTRAL HOTEL, 1020 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90015

Time: 7pm

Africa Day is observed annually to commemorate the founding of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) which was created on May 25, 1963. In honor of that we will be kicking off AFRICON with an Africa Day celebration at the E-Central Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.

 

Day 2 – Thursday, May 26 (CONFERENCE DAY 1)

Time: 9 am PST

The conference officially begins with a day of interesting panels centered around entertainment & culture, leadership & advocacy, and business & tech. The day will culminate with a Nollywood film screening hosted by Film One Production.

 

Day 3 – Friday, May 27 (CONFERENCE DAY 2)

Venue: Magic Box Los Angeles, 1933 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90007

Time: 8am PST

The last day of panel conversations and our highly anticipated Afro Ball Gala. The Afro Ball Gala, hosted by Amplify Africa, is a fashion conscious, philanthropic event which celebrates individuals who are amplifying Africa and the diaspora by excelling within their respective professional and creative fields.

This year we are partnering with ChakaBars to raise $500,000 to resettle a community in Goma, Congo that was displaced due to a volcanic eruption. Here is a link to the video: https://youtu.be/sUpBQjZy9J8
