Momsgiving is all about connection and good eats!

We are starting the evening with a fun interactive cooking class as the launch event for the wellness programming services at Charles R. Drew University School of Science and Medicine. The theme of the cooking class is all about exploring through mindfulness how we receive and give love (The five love languages). We will then indulge in the yummy meal we prepared together and continue to build community connections. Raffles and Giveaways will take place throughout the evening.

Cooking Class: 6-8pm – Jamaican Patties with Chef Jarbari Samuel, “Chef Jaba”

MomsGiving Dinner: 8-10pm – Jerk Chicken, Rice & Peas, Cabbage, & Patties

Guests can join for just the cooking class, just the Dinner, or both!

We are prioritizing Black pregnant and newly parenting persons (children in the home, under age 1) for priority registration.

During the November 30th event, there will be opportunities to learn more about the wellness programming happening at the Black Maternal Health Center of Excellence and tour the space. We will also be sharing more about our “Black Excellence in Motherhood” cohort, now forming for 10 Black or newly parenting mothers to be supported by wellness programming from the Black Maternal Health Center of Excellence.

See you there, Excellent mamas!
