Join Barnes & Noble – The Grove at Farmers Market on June 1, 2023, as we welcome poet, educator, publisher, and #1 New York Times Bestselling author Kwame Alexander to the store to discuss and sign WHY FATHERS CRY AT NIGHT: A MEMOIR IN LOVE POEMS, RECIPES, LETTERS, AND REMEMBRANCES.

Kwame will be in conversation with Joy Bryant, a Bronx born, Yale dropout who left school to become a fashion model. She eventually found her way to Hollywood, where she’s enjoyed a 20-year career as an actor in film and television, most notably on NBC’s PARENTHOOD and most recently on Ava Duvernay’s CHERISH THE DAY. The writer/producer is also a drummer and a self-proclaimed ‘food narcissist’.
