Our seventh installment of Chef Series will be a return to our roots. As highly requested we will continue on with featuring menu items from The Nest: A Breakfast Joint, our original location! We aim to do three different things with this menu: remix certain dishes to offer you a new take on a favorite or elevate dishes to increase the sophistication of the dish via food science, gastronomy, or technique. Lastly, we will present the dish in its original form and allow you to be able to taste the dish as you would in the restaurant. This is truly an exclusive experience and whether it is your first time or thousandth time you will leave with a deeper understanding of our food and a unique opportunity to see it presented it in a way we have never showcased before.
Not only will you be tasting and drinking great food and beverage options but you will be treated to a night of education by our Chef Karla (from the Nest: A Breakfast Joint) as she navigates you through the evening with science and ingredients and cooking techniques that will allow you take a peek into the kitchen and understand the food on a deeper level. Karla has been with the company for 2 years and has experience from high end hotels to media companies like Dreamworks. Her dream is to open up a restaurant one day and continue to express her love for her daughter and expand her creative endeavors. You will hear directly from Antonio Cortez Appling the Owner and creative behind También’s identity. His captivating way of explaining the origin stories of our dishes, anecdotes about the company and the food is truly enticing, making each offering come to life.

The Chef Series is a dope night of EATING: an educational and experiential pop up dinner with cooking presentations designed to share The Nest: Tambien’s unique approach to brunch dining. The first event in this series will be on Friday, July 21, 2023 at the Nest: Tambien located at 16916 Bellflower Blvd. Bellflower, CA 90706 with doors opening at 6:30 pm for ELVTD Experience ticket holders.
This unique dinner series will be celebrating our food through a 6-course prix fixe menu with an (optional) pairing of 6 exclusive Chef Series cocktails and adult beverages for additional purchase. These cocktails and adult beverages are designed to elevate and compliment each dish and handcrafted and curated by our Owner.
If you have been to Chef Series before you understand how we have grown and expanded with each event. We have moved into using more Chef demo’s, themed evenings and diverse chef POV’s in order to enhance your experience. Not to mention enhanced multimedia elements and music from some of the best DJ’s in Southern California!
The Chef Series is now showcasing emerging chef’s from Southern California…and beyond. We are moving into a new era of Chef Series that allows for a broader experience that will bring you evenings that feature multiple points of views and an array of of flavors and cultures. This is a new way to express the diversity of The Nest Group and show you that we do so much more than breakfast and brunch. Equally as important is the opportunity for you to gather as a diverse community around the expression of food and drink. In times like these, community events and celebrating people of all backgrounds (coming together to break bread) is essential to our evolving American experience. It is going to be an amazing night and we want you to be a part of it.
Tickets start at $95 per person and are NOW available in-store and online. The Chef Series is a must see; a go-to date night, or fun outing with friends. Due to limited seating, this event will be a ticketed event; and WILL Sell Out…so DO NOT wait to buy your tickets.
