Introduction
Join us for our exciting Roblox Workshop on Saturday, December 14th, 2024, for boys (ages 8 – 12 & 13-17).
This interactive in-person workshop will immerse participants in the world of game development using Roblox Studio. Participants will learn to create their own games, explore foundational programming concepts, and understand the principles of game mechanics and design. This hands-on experience will equip them with the skills to turn their creative ideas into playable realities while fostering problem-solving and computational thinking.
Materials Required
- Learning Resources : All necessary learning resources, including instructional materials, will be provided during the workshop.
Beginner Path
- Introduction to Programming: Learn the basics of Lua programming, focusing on syntax and simple game mechanics.
- Game Design Basics: Understand the principles of creating a functional game, including character movement and interactive environments.
- Collaborative Game Development: Work with peers to design and build a simple game.
Advanced Path
- Advanced Programming Concepts: Building on basic skills to include more complex programming constructs.
- Long-term Machine Learning Project: Advanced learners will be challenged to work on a long-term machine learning project, applying their knowledge to create impactful AI models.
