BlackNLA Take: Supporting Live Jazz in Leimert Park

Leimert Park has long been one of the cultural centers of Black Los Angeles, and The World Stage remains an essential part of that legacy.

With so much of today’s entertainment centered around large venues and major productions, smaller community spaces like The World Stage offer something special: an opportunity to experience outstanding musicians up close while supporting the institutions that have helped shape Los Angeles’ cultural identity.

Whether you’re a longtime jazz enthusiast or simply looking for something different to do in LA, November offers several opportunities to experience live music in Leimert Park.

Supporting venues like The World Stage helps ensure that Los Angeles’ rich Black musical traditions continue to thrive for future generations.
